CommonsensicalCat is a blog for ordinary people that actually takes information from the news media and chews on it, lets it caress the palette of the tongue, and then digests it. What comes out later is the product of this site, but often times, it is better than the original product anyway.

Bill Clinton: McCain did NOT do this for politics.
Bill Clinton said this morning in an interview with Matt Lauer that he does not believe that John McCain is playing politics over his refusal to attend the debate if the bailout is not finished. Clinton went on to say that he knows McCain isn't scared of the debate since he originally suggested many more debates that Barack Obama would not agree to. Clinton also admitted in retrospect that legislation passed during his administration which forced banks to give subprime loans to minority groups does not seem as prudent today as it did during his presidency. He said times were different then, but viewing it through the situation at hand changes things.
