CommonsensicalCat is a blog for ordinary people that actually takes information from the news media and chews on it, lets it caress the palette of the tongue, and then digests it. What comes out later is the product of this site, but often times, it is better than the original product anyway.

State - istics are real key to polls
Checking the Yahoo headlines is like watching a Chinese fireworks display. Be careful, things are not always what they seem. Yahoo's headlines state that "Obama rebounds in polls." But the sooner that people start realizing that the polls that matter will be the states and not the national, the quicker they will understand why many believe Obama's star is fading a bit. The key to becoming President of the United States is based on the electoral college. With this being said, the most recent polls show a dead tie between Obama and McCain with 250 electoral votes each. Numerous states are not reporting for whatever reason, but you can safely put Idaho, Wyoming, South Dakota, and West Virginia in the McCain Camp and Delaware, Hawaii, Maryland, and DC in the Obama Camp.
