Obama - Opens Mouth Inserts Foot

On a day when his followers kept referring to Sarah Palin as "putting lipstick on her record," Barack Obama proceeded to say that "you can put lipstick on a pig, but its still a pig."He then proceeded to say that you can put old fish in newspaper and it still stinks. After each statement he grinned and waited on the predictable round of laughter from his followers as they picked up on his digs at Sarah Palin. The problem is that it was a sexist dig at Palin and when trying to woo female voters that had once followed Hillary Clinton such a strategy can only be considered asinine. Obama needs to realize that those things that get him big laughs at his rallies, go on blogs in the mornings and lose him votes in the election. There is a time to be a comedian, and a time to be an honorable politician. Congratulations Mr. Obama you just opened your mouth and inserted your foot. Hope the laughs were worth it in November.
