Would Hillary throw the game?

As mentioned on my blog before, no one is in a stranger position in this election that Hillary Clinton. She is being asked to stump for Barack Obama who she has repeatedly said is not ready to be President. My question - what are the chances she tanks it?

With John McCain and Sarah Palin picking up steam and taking a lead in the polls Hillary can either fight the good fight and try to get her party's candidate elected, or, she can put on a show while tanking it a bit. If Obama wins the election he takes over for presumably 8 years and Hillary has to sit on the sideline and wait. If John McCain wins then Hillary waits 4 years, works on her resume, takes a leadership role in American politics and becomes the democratic front runner for the next race. This will be very interesting to watch.
